Forensic Accounting Case Review
Jared A. Funk, CPA, CFE, CGMA
Jared A. Funk is employed in Berkeley Research Group’s Salt Lake City office and specializes in matters related to forensic accounting and investigative services, economic damages, and receiverships. Mr. Funk has over 17 years of experience providing consulting and investigative services in a litigation setting. He also has experience providing audit services with a "Big Five" accounting and consulting firm.
During his career, Mr. Funk has served as an expert witness, a litigation consultant, and a court-appointed agent in both federal and state courts. He has examined and opined on complex financial issues for both public and private entities. He has consulted on matters in various industries including biotech/pharmaceutical, construction, financial services, fitness/health, floor covering, manufacturing, oil/gas, real estate, and telecommunications.
Mr. Funk received a Master of Accountancy and a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Brigham Young University. He is a Certified Public Accountant, a Certified Fraud Examiner, and a Chartered Global Management Accountant. He is currently a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, the Utah Chapter of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, and the Utah Association of Certified Public Accountants.
