Utah Chapter ACFE Scholarship Application

We are evaluating the applications received for the 2025-2026 scholarship period and will notify award recipients via email by September 30, 2025. Scholarship awards will be distributed in October 2025.

Your application has been received

The current status for each letter of recommendation is provided below. If the status for recommendation submissions is pending we have not received the recommendation form. Please contact your referrals and remind them to submit the form using the link received in their email.

  1. Submit completed scholarship application

1. Application General Information

You will be required to enter you GPA and provide the email addresses for two referrals. If you do not have all the required information at this time you may log back in at a later date to upload and complete the application process. Completed applications must be submitted before the deadline date of June 16, 2023.

Applicants for this award will be evaluated based on completed applications, content of essay questions, overall academic achievement and recommendations. Incomplete applications will not be considered.

2. College or University Information

Academic Information

Applicants must be currently enrolled full-time with a declared major or minor in accounting, business administration, finance or criminal justice an an accredited college or university in Utah. Undergraduate students must be enrolled 9 semester hours (or equivalent) per term and be at least in the second half of their sophomore year when they apply. Graduate students must be enrolled 6 semester hours (or equivalent) per term.

Letters of Recommendation

Two recommendation forms from an instructor or employer are required. You will need the recommender's email address to complete this portion.

Request forms be completed by an individual who knows you in a professional or educational capacity and knows your career goals and desired path. It is preferred that at least one letter is from a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE). We encourage you to meet and network with members the Utah ACFE chapter to become acquainted with a CFE in time to request a form be completed by the recommender deadline.

NOTICE: Your recommenders will receive an email containing instructions on submitting a recommendation form on your behalf. Be sure to notify them in advance that they will be receiving an email request on your behalf. The email will come from an automated email, acfeut@gmail.com. Once the recommender has submitted the completed form, you will receive a confirmation email and your application will be updated.

3. Essay Questions

Answer the following essay questions to let the Utah Chapter ACFE Scholarship Committee know more about you. Explain your interest in pursuing a career in fraud examination or similar field and how your academic and career path relates to the anti-fraud profession and its development.

Please take the time to use proper writing format and check for accurate capitalization, grammar, punctuation and spelling. Be sure to proofread before submitting to the Scholarship Committee.
